From cat furniture making to product partnership.
Sympet Living began with cat furniture manufacturing. As we worked with more brands and retailers, our role gradually expanded beyond production — into product development, broader product support and the practical decisions that help move ideas toward production.
Manufacturing remains our foundation. Today, we support customers at more stages of the product journey.
WHERE WE STARTED
We started with cat furniture.
Cat trees, scratching products and related furniture formed the foundation of Sympet’s manufacturing experience. Working closely with these products taught us how materials, structure, textiles and assembly come together in the finished result.
That hands-on experience still shapes how we approach products today: first understand how the product needs to work, then determine how it should be made.
HOW OUR ROLE EVOLVED
The work gradually moved beyond production.
As we worked with more brands and retailers, the questions around each project became broader. Customers were not always looking for production alone — they also needed help evaluating products, refining requirements and finding practical ways to move a project forward.

Some projects begin with clear specifications and simply need reliable manufacturing execution.

Others begin with a reference product, an existing design to improve or requirements that still need to be worked through.

In some cases, customers also need access to product categories beyond our own manufacturing, supported through established product and supply resources.

HOW WE THINK ABOUT PRODUCTS
A good product has to make sense before it can be made well.
We look at a product from both sides: what it needs to do for the customer, and what it takes to make that idea practical in production.
Purpose first
We start with how the product will be used, who it is for and what problem it needs to solve.
Details shape the result
Materials, dimensions, structure, finishes and packaging are considered in relation to the product rather than as isolated choices.
Production keeps it practical
Ideas are evaluated with sampling, manufacturing and repeatability in mind, so development stays connected to what can actually be produced.
Product understanding gives direction. Manufacturing experience keeps that direction practical.

When a project begins with an idea, reference product or existing design, we help clarify the requirements, work through key product decisions and move toward a practical direction for sampling and production.

WHEN THE CATEGORY SITS BEYOND OUR OWN PRODUCTION
For selected pet categories outside our own manufacturing scope, we can support customers through established product and supply resources while keeping the project connected to the customer's requirements.
